Westports Malaysia holds “Fun Run” in conjunction with National Sports Day

Over the past decade, the act of running long distances has gone from a hobby for few to fitness addicts to a full-fledged worldwide phenomenon.

In conjunction with the National Sports Day, Westports Malaysia took the opportunity to organise a 5km Fun Run to show its support and share the aspiration of the government in transforming Malaysia into a sports nation. The event drew a wide variety of employees from various departments.

The excited participants arrived as early as 6 am on a Sunday morning for the run. After an interactive, warm up session lead by our very own gym trainer Mr Iswandy, the run began at about 7:30 am.

A total of (193) employees took part in this hugely successful event. The run was separated into two categories:

  • Male Staff Race
  • Female Staff Race

Westports Malaysia cares about its employees as they are the backbone of the organisation. Staff wellness and safety have always been our key priority. The Fun Run provided a great platform to impart values focusing on wellness and safety. Our message was simple, ‘Participating in Westports Malaysia’s Fun Run event is’:

  • A great way to introduce/strengthen the role of health and fitness at Westports.
  • An unbeatable team building and employee engagement program.

The event was flagged off by Mr Eddie Lee alongside Mr Ravin, Mr Jesvinder & Mr Rauf.

The winner of each event walked away with prize money, a medal and a certificate of participation.
